Welcome to the College of Staten Island, a unique campus in CUNY— the City University of New York— "the greatest urban university in the world." Located just 15 miles from Manhattan, the College of Staten Island is the largest single campus in the five boroughs of New York City—public or private—with 204 pastoral acres of expansive meadows, woods, and flowering trees. Our 12 academic buildings and two administrative buildings are designed in the Neo-Georgian style of architecture, with an additional six state-of-the-art research and recreational constructions Equipped with photography, painting, printmaking, and dance studios, the Center for the Arts is a high-tech venue available to CSI students. Fine art majors enjoy spacious studios with natural light, and Music majors can take advantage of Mac-driven music labs, composing rooms, and *Steinway concert grand piano. As a student, you'll be immersed in a curriculum that emphasizes artistic exploration and creativity, taught by distinguished professionals. You'll be able to take lecture-style classes in our performance spaces which double as smart classrooms. Also a premiere Staten Island community venue, the Center for the Arts offers a full performance schedule throughout the year, with five dollar rush tickets available to CSI students. Visit CSI's Library, a valuable research and collaborative learning space. Library faculty are available at the reference desk to assist you with your research and help you find credible information for your papers, presentations, and assignments. Library staff at the circulation desk can assist with checking out materials and booking group study rooms. Sink into one of our comfy chairs— ergonomically designed seating installed on all floors generously equipped with charging stations for your laptops and electronic personal devices. As a CSI student, you have privileges to access all 31 libraries within the City University of New York, a priceless and vast array of ideas and information at your fingertips.

Dolphin Cove is your home away from home! Choose from spacious two, three, or four-bedroom full apartments, each equipped with a full kitchen and bathroom. Dolphin Cove has its own fitness center, Mac Lab, 24-hour laundry facilities, game room, and selection of social lounges and study spaces. You will wake up every day with friends and classmates right down the hall and all the resources campus has to offer within reach. Discover involvement opportunities, enjoy live entertainment, join a club, watch a movie in the Bijou Theatre or participate in our Wednesday night Open Mic series. The Campus Center is your on-campus destination to relax, unwind, grab a meal, shop in the bookstore, or meet up with old and new friends. Visit Health and Wellness Services for free and confidential health services and wellness events. Take time to reflect in our Prayer and Meditation space. In recent years, CSI's athletic program has taken off and is celebrating a move to NCAA Division II. As a CSI student, you can enjoy the Sports and Recreation Center (SRC) and compete in an array of intramural activities—including basketball, racquetball, volleyball, table tennis and group fitness classes, as the SRC is open to all, regardless of athletic ability. Hosting sixteen varsity NCAA sports, the SRC features a main gym, auxiliary gym (featured here), an eight-lane, combination 25-meter pool and diving tank, weight room, cardio area, training and locker rooms.

Business-related majors are among the most popular at CSI. We offer exceptional facilities for aspiring Finance majors. Equipped with high-performance computer terminals with dual monitors, electronic displays, data feeds, and specialized software, we provide you with the immersive environment of a *bonafide trading and financial analysis facility. The *Con Edison Trading Room serves as an additional space for co-curricular activities, such as student clubs and competitions. You have the opportunity to learn up close about finance, business and Wall Street. Because Finance is one of the most exciting and dynamic applications of math and quantitative analysis, the Trading Room is a great venue for furthering STEM Education.

At the College of Staten Island, you can explore research opportunities in the field of Astronomy and Astrophysics. The CSI Astrophysical Observatory, currently the largest publicly accessible facility in New York City, houses a powerful Meade LX200GPS telescope. CSI's Physics and Astronomy Department and its professors are supported by prestigious organizations and agencies such as NASA, the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, and the National Science Foundation. Our students research the origin and evolution of extrasolar planets, stars, galaxies, quasars, and of our universe itself. One team of students is even constructing a special small cube satellite that will be launched into space.

Begin a career in science using the most advanced research tools as early as your first year at CSI! Chemistry, Biology and Biochemistry majors enjoy direct access to state-of-the-art research equipment at our core Advanced Imaging Facility, overseen by the Division of Science and Technology and housed in our Biological and Chemical Sciences Building. Students are specially trained and allowed access to several fluorescent scopes including confocal, transmission and scanning electron microscopes, an atomic force microscope, specimen preparation labs and much more in one facility. Researchers from CUNY campuses, scientists belonging to other academic institutions and industrial scientists also utilize the facility, creating a rich experience for all.

The College of Staten Island's popular Nursing program, ranked as one of the top ten in New York State, has long recognized the importance of using high-fidelity patient simulation as a learning technique. Our high-fidelity simulators emulate real-life scenarios and provide an invaluable safety net for learning, utilized by CSI for years as an essential training tool. With funding allocated via NYS Senator Andrew Lanza, we upgraded our High-Fidelity Nursing Simulation Laboratory with the latest equipment, aiding development of clinical judgment, critical thinking and decision-making skills—helping students gain confidence as they learn new procedures. CSI is the only public college in NYC offering Associate's, Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral degree options in Nursing.

Only a few blocks away from the Staten Island Ferry Terminal, the College of Staten Island opened CSI St. George, a high-tech, 16,000-square-foot campus extension. At CSI St. George, it is important that we offer you convenient part-time and full-time college access, especially if you commute from the other NYC *boroughs or live on Staten Island's North Shore. Ten fully-equipped & spacious classrooms, including a state-of-the-art Computer Lab and nicely appointed lounge area create a dynamic and comfortable learning environment only a short ferry ride from downtown NYC. General Education, pre-major and major required courses, select graduate courses, and continuing education programs are all available on a flexible schedule.
