AMR II is a first-year residence hall consisting of traditional double and single rooms along the corridors with hallway bathrooms. Rooms are single sex, and floors are coed. They are subdivided into houses, enabling residents to build friendships, learn basic rules for community life, and plan activities. A common kitchen comes equipped with a stove, sink, refrigerator, and microwave oven.
