Ronald Reagan Peace Garden
On May 9, 1982, President Ronald Reagan delivered a major foreign policy address on the Eureka College campus. The speach heralded the beginning of the end of the Cold War. The Reagan Peace Garden celebrates what that speech represented. The graden contains a bust of Mr. Reagan and five-foot by four-foot piece of the Berlin Wall, a gift from the Federal Republic of Germany. The Peace Garden has become a popular gathering place on campus for formal and informal events.
