Fine Arts Bld Lobby
Constructed in 1965, Jindra Fine Arts houses faculty from the history, English, speech, drama and music departments. Some features of the newly upgraded facility include a large atrium with lounge seating and a state-of-the-art black box theatre where students and faculty present musical performances and plays. The large choir and band rooms, as well as the theatre, are designed for the best possible acoustics. Jindra also feature a number of “green” characteristics, including a modern geo-thermal heat pump that provides heating and air conditioning as well as solar powered lighting in the classrooms. An interesting fact……From the 1950’s to the 1970’s, Peru State freshmen had to wear beanies on campus and were expected to sing the college’s Color Song on command.
