In 2010, the basketball court in the Physical Education Center was named in honor of the late Jim Gremmels, who was one of the original13 faculty members at Morris and longtime basketball coach English professor. The gymnasium seats 3,000, and along with Cougar athletics, also is home to many high school tournament games.
